IS Course Waitlist

Wait List Procedure

1. Fill out form completely below. (Please use your wisc.edu email address, as we need to send messages to that account per university policy).
2. Fill out the form one time for each course for which you want to register.
3. When a spot opens up in the course, you will be notified via email. You will then have 48 hours to register for that spot through your Student Center online. If you fail to register for the course within that period of time, your spot will be forfeited and offered to the next student on the list.

List Policy: Read Carefully

• Wait lists are compiled only for courses taught through the International Studies Program. If a wait list for a particular course is not listed in the drop-down menu, please contact the cross-listed department about the wait list policy.
• These lists are the only wait lists available for our courses. Please do not contact the instructors if this list is full or if a section is unavailable.
• Wait lists are compiled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• You must meet the pre-requisites for the course in order to enroll.
• We will continue to contact students until the first day of classes in the spring semester.
• Being on this wait list for this course in no way guarantees the student a seat.
• Only one submission per person per course will be considered. Multiple submissions for a particular course will result in ALL submissions being discarded by the system!
• Please note that the wait lists are not intended (and will not be effective) for switching sections in a course for which you have already enrolled!
• Once your ID number appears on a course's roster (regardless of the section number), your name will automatically be removed from the waiting list for that course.
• If you are unable to get into the course by the time school starts, you may attend the first class and ask the instructor about openings in the class.
