2019 Early Career Excellence in Undergraduate Advising Award

On Monday May 6th, the campus advising community gathered in Varsity Hall in Union South for its Spring Celebration and Award Ceremony. Over 160 undergraduate and career services advisors attended the end of year event that recognized the achievements and work of the advising community across campus. This year, International Studies Major Advisor, Molly Donnellan, was the recipient of an Early Career Excellence in Undergraduate Advising Award. The Award Selection Committee noted that Molly stood out as an academic advisor not only through her exceptional, supportive and inclusive advising practices but also in her development of innovative programming, and community-building efforts within the IS Major.

Receiving the award from Associate Vice Provost Wren Singer, Director of the Office of Undergraduate Advising, Molly expressed her thanks to her many advising colleagues for the support and guidance she had received since starting in her role as IS Major advisor a year and a half ago.

International Studies Faculty Director, Professor Erica Simmons, expressed her delight at this recognition of Molly’s outstanding work for the Major: “Working with Molly is truly a pleasure. We are lucky to have her on the IS team and I truly do not know what we would do without her. She is the true embodiment of the spirit of this award.”

Congrats, Molly – we are so lucky to have you!
