Eavan Bobbe

2025 Newman Family Internship Award Recipient

My name is Eavan Bobbe and I am studying Economics, Spanish, and International Studies: Politics and Policy in the Global Economy. All of the learning I have done at UW – Madison has helped prepare me for embracing challenges.

This summer I had the opportunity to intern abroad for BusinessHub Consultants, an international business consulting firm based in Santiago, Chile. It was an amazing experience to work with clients and help connect companies and initiate global partnerships. I love working with people from different backgrounds and having the ability to practice my Spanish and be immersed in a new culture was invaluable.. Through my internship I gained further experience in professional communication in English and Spanish, research and market analysis, and formal report writing.

I am incredibly grateful for the support of the Newman Family. With their contribution I have been able to expand my world and develop new skills that I will be able to apply in an international field. The foundation I have built as an International Studies student has made all the difference in my personal and professional growth.
